Integrity is a value we see often in mission and vision statements and described in organizational values across the globe, in every industry, and in all sizes of organizations. And we all know that having integrity listed as a core value does not mean that an organization, in fact, acts with integrity. Quickly, we think about Enron or more recently, Boeing.
Frequently, I have conversations with clients about whether or not to include integrity as a core value organizational value, but in these past few weeks I’ve thought more about integrity in terms of a personal core value. Integrity comes from the Latin word integritas meaning intact, soundness, wholeness.
How do we honor the safety of each other and our communities by staying at home? Where do we place our energy now – and in the future – to create a sound and whole life? After this crisis, will we – individually and collectively – be more whole and undivided?
